Current Program Strategies

We work in partnership with advocates, researchers, and practitioners to develop strategies that ensure children at all stages of early childhood – birth to age 9 – and their families are empowered by systems and supports that work.

  • Support research, policy advocacy and implementation so that public programs meet the needs of children and their families.
  • Ensure safe, healthy, and equitable birth outcomes, through strategies outlined in Nurture New Jersey.
  • Expand access to affordable, high-quality options in child care and early education for infants and toddlers.
  • Implement universal, state-funded preschool throughout our region and the state as part of an aligned preschool to 3rd grade early childhood education system that prepares children for academic success and instills a love of reading.
