The Early Childhood program supports the healthy development and academic success of children from birth through the end of third grade.
We support access to high quality education, in particular programs that build strong literacy skills as fundamental for future learning.
Our grantmaking is focused on areas of concentrated poverty in Bergen and Passaic Counties, with a special interest in Paterson. In addition, the Foundation makes Early Childhood grants in Israel through existing partnerships. The foundation is not seeking new partnerships for funding in Israel.
In New Jersey, we seek opportunities to build the capacity of organizations serving children by providing professional development or technical assistance to enhance the skills of those who care for, educate, and support young children. Included are non-academic factors such as health, emotional well-being, and family stability.
If you represent a 501(c)(3) organization working with high poverty populations on Early Childhood in Bergen and/or Passaic counties, and you wish to inform us about your organization, you may send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org describing your work. Please limit your email to no more than 500 words, telling us what your organization does and the location your organization serves.
